The Bachelor season 29 begins on January 27, 2025, with 25 women vying for Grant Ellis’ heart. Canada native Alexe Godin is rumored to be a frontrunner early in the season, and many fans are hoping to learn more about her.

Who Is The Bachelor’s Alexe Godin?

Alexe is a “small-town girl looking for a big-time love,” according to her bio from ABC. “The Canadian beauty grew up on a farm surrounded by goats, bunnies and chickens, which led to her lifelong love of animals. In her free time, she loves to travel, play beach volleyball and make all her friends laugh.”

The bio continued, “Alexe is bubbly, fluent in French and always knows how to get the party started. She is ready to find the man of her dreams and wants someone who is open-minded, hardworking and an all-around good human. We can’t wait to see if there’s true amour between Alexe and Grant.”

Alexe loves cooking competition shows and ketchup chips, but fans will never catch her participating in karaoke.

Alexe could be seen in a promo for The Bachelor season 29 introducing Grant to her “no-drama llama,” named Linda. Grant seemed impressed, telling Alexe that he was a “fan of no drama.” However, the Canadian contestant appeared to be crying later in the promo, and a fellow contestant told Linda that it was “time to go back to the farm,” hinting that Alexe may not be a frontrunner for long.

Alexe often documents her love of travel on her Instagram page, with several Stories highlights dedicated to her time in Mexico, New York City, Ibiza, Turkey, Croatia, Italy, Bali, Australia, England and more.

Alexe graduated from the University of Ottawa with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology in 2022, according to her LinkedIn. She previously worked as a speech-language pathologist intern. She has “experience in early childhood development as well with learning disorders, speech sound disorders and autism spectrum disorder,” her LinkedIn bio reads.

The Bachelor’s Grant Ellis Struggles to Choose Between His Final 2

While it’s unclear how far Alexe will make it in her Bachelor journey, fans have already seen a glimpse into Grant’s struggle to choose between his final two contestants on season 29.

“My biggest fear is that I end up alone,” he told former Bachelor lead Joey Graziadei in a trailer shared in November 2024.

“We got both women, they’re here on standby, and of course, I have to know which to send first,” host Jesse Palmer said.

Jesse later told Us Weekly ahead of the premiere that Grant’s indecision was “real.”

“I don’t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, [but] I was surprised. That was something that I haven’t encountered yet as the host in the last four years on any of the franchises,” he said. “Normally, I think, our leads have a little bit more clarity — a lot more clarity — heading into the final day. And I really think that’s how conflicted Grant really was.”

Jesse also noted that the contestants in season 29 were “phenomenal,” which made Grant’s decision even more difficult.

“They’re phenomenal every year for whoever our lead is [and] making that decision on the final day is always a very, very difficult decision, but I can appreciate some of why Grant was so conflicted. I’ll just say that,” the host continued. “But absolutely without giving away too much, that was authentic and it’s real and it’s not an edit.”
