The Hills alum Lauren “Lo” Bosworth is engaged after her boyfriend, Domenic “Dom” Natale, popped the question.
Lo, 38, revealed the news by sharing a photo of herself and Dom via Instagram on Tuesday, January 21.
“For you, my darling, it could only be a ‘yes,’” the former MTV star wrote alongside the black and white photo. “Thank you for being the best that one could be, for me. All my love, L.”
Lo and Dom have kept their relationship out of the spotlight and little is known about her groom-to-be. However, that’s a far cry from Lo’s teenage years when she made her reality TV debut on Laguna Beach in 2004. The series ended after three seasons in November 2006, but MTV took a chance and followed several of the stars as they embarked on life after graduation in the show The Hills.
During Lo’s time on The Hills, fans saw her date costar Scott Hochstadt. In the series finale, the two moved in together, but by 2010, Scott, 48, and Lo had called it quits.
“Lo and Scott are no longer together but remain good friends,” a spokesperson for Lo told Us Weekly in an article published on December 17, 2010.
The former Love Wellness CEO had previously told the outlet that Scott might be “the one,” but sources later said that their relationship began to crumble in the last quarter of 2010.
“They had talked about getting engaged quite a bit, but over the last couple of weeks it really unraveled … The age difference was a lot, and they are at different places in their lives,” the insider explained to the publication. “They are taking it slow as friends. Scott loves her family, she loves his family, and all their friends are heartbroken but they couldn’t make it work anymore.”
After her time on The Hills, Lo moved to New York City and away from reality TV. She spoke to Life & Style about her decision to opt for life that didn’t include cameras filming her every move.
“I was watching [Keeping Up With] the Kardashians and it was a blast from the past for me,” Lo told Life & Style in 2017. “I remember how uncomfortable I felt so often being on a TV show like that… I was like, ‘Oh, I really don’t ever want to do a show like this again,’ because it feels so invasive at times.”
In 2019, MTV decided to reboot The Hills with The Hills: New Beginnings, but Lo stuck by her decision and said she wouldn’t be making a cameo in the new show.
“I’ve lived in New York since 2012. I haven’t been on TV in so long, and so the idea of opening up my personal life is not that appealing at this point,” she exclusively told Life & Style in October 2019. “I’m almost 33 and I go to work every day and I have an amazing team and people who rely on me. And so it just didn’t feel like the appropriate choice for where I’m at in life right now.”
However, she had no harsh feelings about the reboot.
“I admire from afar!” Lo said. “I admire from New York, and I wave and say hello!”
