Summer House stars Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller dished about season 9 of the Bravo show, promising that it will be plenty of drama during an exclusive interview with Life & Style.
“I’m going to be honest, I don’t really remember what we filmed,” Ciara, 29, exclusively told Life & Style while promoting their partnership with KIND. Meanwhile, Amanda, 33, added, “What’s most important is that the ladies got along, who cares about anything else?”
In addition to the female cast members getting along, Amanda and Ciara jokingly added that they “were pregnant” and “had a baby,” referencing costar Lindsay Hubbard’s pregnancy with baby No. 1.
Amanda said that the summer of 2024 – when season 9 was filmed – was “different” than past seasons, “but in the best way.” However, she promised that there’s still the “same old drama” that fans love to watch on the show.
Ciara also teased what it was like filming season 9 with West Wilson, whom she had a fling with during season 8. “My mindset was more so, ‘Oh my God, I can’t wait to hang out with my friends more. I can’t wait,’” the model shared of how she started the summer, adding that it was “so nice” to spend most of the time with the girls.
After Amanda noted that she and the other girls “missed” Ciara during her fling with West, 30, Ciara said that she and the other women in the house “got back to basics” in the upcoming season. “Honestly, my mindset was like, look, I’m conserving my energy for certain people and certain people get a certain version of me and that’s just kind of what it is,” she added.
Amanda and Ciara have partnered with KIND to embrace and elevate bed rotting as a form of self care. The brand is offering curated kits inspired by bed rotters to recreate the rotting experience from home, while five people will win the opportunity to have the ultimate bed rotting experience in New York City.
In addition to teasing the upcoming season of the Bravo show, which premieres on Wednesday, February 12, Amanda and Ciara also opened up about why they believe bed rotting – which is the act of spending a long time in bed – is a great form of self care.
“Bed rotting gets a really bad rap, but KIND understands that it’s good,” Amanda told Life & Style. “[It’s] good for you in moderation, just like the snacks.”
Meanwhile, Ciara said that KIND is the perfect brand to collaborate with because both she and Amanda are “snack girls.”
“We love a no-crumb snack in bed. And so it was kind of like the perfect match,” Ciara added of the partnership.
Ciara then revealed that she may be bed rotting as the drama unfolds during the new episodes of Summer House. “That’s literally why bed rotting is so important, because [of] the anxiety,” she said, noting that the drama from the show is hard to avoid thanks to social media. “It grounds you … The anxiety is a little bit much. That’s why I don’t watch.”
