On a sluggish holiday weekend, Mufasa has returned to the top of the box office, taking back the crown with a $11.9 million dollar haul.
But two newcomers were close behind. One of Them Days, starring Keke Palmer and SZA, came in ahead of Wolf Man with $11.6 million on a $14 million budget. Wolf Man‘s budget was higher, at $25 million, but it came in third on its opening weekend with a $10.5 million take.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 came in fourth with $8.6 million, while Den of Thieves 2: Pantera made $6.6 million. Meanwhile, Better Man collapsed at the box office with a 76% drop from its $1 million opening weekend, and Moana 2 hit the billion dollar mark in worldwide box office.
