Christina Haack (formerly Hall) slammed ex Josh Hall after he claimed she was attacking his love life to promote her HGTV show amid their bitter divorce.
The Flip Off star, 41, shared the quotes from Josh’s rep in an Instagram Story on Tuesday, January 14, writing, “I just threw up in my mouth. Quoting a Mariah Carey song is a new low … even for you. Trust me idgaf about Josh’s life. I do, however, care about his bts tactics. Narcissism at its finest.”
Christina was responding to Josh’s rep putting out a statement following her Sunday, January 12, appearance on Radio Andy’s Jeff Lewis Live, where she discussed how their ugly divorce is likely headed to trial.
“Hall is not available for comment, as he’s continuing to live his life in the present and celebrating his beautiful new girlfriend’s birthday,” the statement shared to Us Weekly read. “With that said, it’s sad Christina must resort to low blows about her ex Josh to promote her new show.”
The statement continued, “She should focus on her new boyfriend and stop talking about Josh. As the great Mariah Carey once sang, ‘Why you so obsessed with me?’ We wish Christina the best.”
Josh, 44, hard launched his romance with girlfriend Stephanie Gabrys in a Monday, January 13, Instagram Story, showing the model, 35, sitting on his lap as they cuddled in front of an outdoor fire pit. He wrote at the bottom of the photo, “Happy 35th to this real life angel,” in a birthday tribute.
The relationship revelation came one day after Christina told Jeff, 54, that she’d hired powerhouse Los Angeles divorce attorney Laura Wasser to represent her, joking the celebrity lawyer “wasn’t cheap.”
When Jeff asked Christina if she and Josh had come to an agreement, she replied, “[We’re] not even close. “We’re going to be going to trial, I hear. He doesn’t want to do mediation. It’s gonna be fun. Can’t wait.”
The Christina on the Coast star said she was worried she’ll end up paying Josh’s attorney fees. “They haven’t ordered me yet, but he’s been asking. I’ve already had to give a little something,” she revealed.
Christina went on to accuse Josh of wasting the money she gave him and got in a subtle dig about his love life.
“I gave him money to live and then he bought a Bentley, but then he also doesn’t have a job,” she explained. “But he drives a Bentley, so I’m sure he’s pulling a lot of chicks.”
Josh filed for divorce on July 15, 2024, after two years of marriage, citing their separation date as one week prior on July 8, 2024. The following day, Christina filed her own divorce petition with the Orange County California Superior Court. She listed their separation date as July 7, 2024.
The pair’s whirlwind romance began in March 2021, when she was in the process of divorcing her second husband, Ant Anstead, following their 22-month marriage that ended in September 2020. The former couple share a son, Hudson.
One month after Christina and Ant, 45, finalized their divorce in June 2021, she confirmed her relationship with Josh after paparazzi caught the pair packing on PDA during her birthday vacation to Mexico.
“I may be a bit crazy and I’m definitely not perfect, but I will never live my life based on other people’s judgments or opinions,” Christina wrote in an Instagram post on July 8, 2021, where the couple marked their official social media debut. “So yes ‘another relationship’ and guess what. I’m 38 — I’ll do what I want.”
The former couple got engaged in September 2021 and secretly married the following month, a fact that was first revealed in Josh’s divorce filing. The duo tied the knot in a formal ceremony in Hawaii in 2022.
Josh debuted his romance with Stephanie three days after the first report surfaced that Christina had been dating Orange County businessman Christopher Larocca for several “months.” A photo obtained by The Daily Mail showed the couple attending a glamorous holiday party in Laguna Beach, California, on December 14, 2024.
“Christina has wasted no time in getting her personal life back on track. She’s dating Christopher Larocca, who she’s been friends with for a while,” an insider told Life & Style on Tuesday, January 14.
“Christina had a very tumultuous break up with Josh, she’s still going through it, but at the end of the day, she deserves happiness,” the source continued. “And you have to give her credit for not giving up on love. She’s already told friends not to worry, she won’t be rushing into another marriage. She’s learned her lesson, now she says she wants to be engaged for at least five years.”
