Country singer Randall King’s fiancée, Brittany Warthan, is pregnant and they are expecting their first child together.
“I’m about to be a father,” Randall told Us Weekly in a story published on Monday, January 13. “I am responsible for a life. I’m responsible for my family. It’s definitely changed my perspective and it’s changed the angles of my songwriting. There’s a happiness in my writing now that wasn’t in my music forever.”
The pair also shared how Brittany creatively told Randall that she was pregnant – and it was all caught on camera.
“These Uno cards have blank spots where you write in your own rule,” Randall later told the outlet. “Sometimes you drop that card and it’s a blank white spot. You just make up a rule – She drops this card. She had written on the card, and I was like, ‘That’s weird. What’s this rule going to be?’ It said, ‘Draw four. The baby’s on the way.’”
Later on Monday, Randall and Brittany released the song and music video “Baby Steps,” which reflected on their relationship and revealed Brittany’s pregnancy in the lyrics. The musicians shared the music video via Instagram, and their comments section was filled with warm congratulations.
“WAIT WHAT WHAT WHAT!!! BRITTANY, the biggest congratulations to you guys,” Brittany’s friend commented, leading the momma-to-be to respond, “I wanted to tell you so bad.”
The duo teased their song “Baby Steps” on December 28, 2024, via Instagram, and shared BTS clips of them in the studio recording.
“Ohh we’re cookin’ up somethin’ for the new year …” Brittany and Randall captioned the post.
Randall and Brittany reached big milestones in their relationship recently, like the “Hey Cowgirl” artist’s beachside October 2024 proposal in Hawaii. The couple announced their engagement via Instagram alongside professional photos of the big moment.
In one of the photos, Randall was barefoot and on one knee as he donned khaki shorts and a maroon button-up shirt. The “No Vacancy” songstress, on the other hand, wore a flowy floral sundress. The couple changed outfits for engagement photos, where Brittany flashed her delicate engagement ring.
“Doin my best to get the right things right, it starts with you. 4 years in the making, a lot of growing, a lot of learning, and a whole lotta love to get us here and I wouldn’t wanna be anywhere else,” Randall captioned the October 30, 2024, Instagram post. “Grateful for the love you give, the grace, the patience, the laughs, the joy, and now the years to come. There’s a lot of miles in front of us and I want only you by my side to take this life head on and make it ours. Love you to the moon bb! @brittanywarthan.”
Brittany reflected on her engagement while sharing a roundup of her 2024 highlights via Instagram.
“2024 had way too many moments to capture. Several countries, even more states, and too many cities to count. God made this past year huge for me. Playing shows again, sharing stages with some incredible people, and experiencing life with my best friend now FIANCE,” she captioned the post. “All the experience continues to shape me and God continues to bless me. 2025 is going to be even bigger and i can’t wait to share through this little social media window view.”
