Jennifer Garner is lending a hand during the wildfires in Los Angeles. She was photographed volunteering with World Central Kitchen in Los Angeles, helping the team bring meals from restaurants and food truck partners to first responders and families affected by the ongoing fires
“Well, first of all zero percent of it is about me because I have my home and I am safe,” the actress says in a conversation with Katie Couric posted to Instagram. “I’m not a spokesperson for people who’ve gone through this. But it’s pretty devastating to witness, obviously. I think everyone is in shock, honestly. I just think that it hasn’t even begun to hit us.”
Speaking with MSNBC, she reveals that she lost a friend in the fire, who “did not get out in time”.
She also says: “My heart bleeds for my friends. I can just write out a list of a hundred friends who’ve lost their homes. I feel almost guilty walking through my house.”
