Pop superstars Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars dropped their single “Die with a Smile” back in August 2024, bringing vintage sounds back to the upper reaches of the Billboard charts.
In the months since, the song has remained hugely popular all around the world and while it was expected to top the charts back in November before ‘A Bar Song,’ blocked it. oop… It is now projected to top the charts for the New Year after having survived Mariah Carey’s seasonal Christmas wrath.
“Die with a Smile” has now lived on the Hot 100 for 19 weeks, and its twentieth frame may be the magical turn for the cut. If the smash does end up ascending to the summit, it will mark Mars’ ninth champion and Gaga’s sixth. So far, the Grammy-nominated single has peaked at No. 2.
