Craig Conover revealed that he froze his sperm just months before he and Paige DeSorbo called it quits during the season 10 premiere of Southern Charm.
“Me and Paige have decided to freeze my sperm,” Craig, 35, told costars Austen Kroll and Shep Rose during the Thursday, January 2, episode, which filmed in summer 2024.
Craig also explained his decision to Paige, 32, who was also caught off guard by his active steps to become a father one day. “I was thinking about freezing my sperm,” he told her, and she responded, “That’s like the craziest thing in the world.”
Despite Paige’s shocked reaction, Craig chose to move forward with the plan and cameras documented him going to a sperm bank to complete the task.
Craig further explained what motivated his decision, sharing that he “read about this person who got in a car accident” and “they can’t produce anymore.”
“I would be remiss to not say that becoming a dad is, probably, whatever it’s called if it has to happen in my future,” he told Austen, 37, and Shep, 44.
The Bravo star added that it was important for him to become a father one day, though it was likely “going to be three or four years” until he welcomed kids due to Paige’s timeline. He then explained that his current goal was to “make as much money as possible.”
“I want kids one day. Have I ever told you that I want kids right now?” Craig continued. “I never said I want kids right now.”
While Austen expressed concerns that Craig and Paige weren’t on the same page when it came to getting married and having children, the Sewing Down South founder admitted that his timeline hasn’t gone according to plan.
“The version of life that I saw myself living isn’t what I’m living, which is this stable home that I grew up with,” he said. “Every night at dinner, my mom and dad were there with my brother. I just loved that.”
Craig added, “But I think If you find the right person and they happen to be a feisty Italian from New York things aren’t always going to go how you have them planned.”
Paige and Craig began dating after they costarred on season 1 of Winter House in 2021. They maintained a long distance relationship until Paige announced their split during the December 30, 2024, episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast.
“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” she said at the time. “I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”
Shortly after she broke the news, rumors began to swirl that Paige had cheated on Craig. However, the Summer House star shut down the speculation by responding to a TikTok video, “I’m so obsessed with all this fan fiction.”
