The 60 best film actors of the 21st century, according to The Independent

The Independent ranked the top 60 actors of this century, only taking into account films, not TV series or the stage, and films that were released after 2000. So if you’re wondering why certain actors weren’t included, The Independent says this post-2000 rule may be the reason why. (It’s why Meryl Streep, Al Pacino and Gene Hackman weren’t included.)

“There are many factors that an actor is judged upon – range, consistency, depth, choice of roles – but no exact formula,” The Independent said.
