Christina Aguilera made sure everyone knew it was her birthday by sharing a Burlesque-inspired topless photo as she embraced turning 44 years old.
“Birthday Suit #44,” the “What a Girl Wants” singer, 44, captioned the Wednesday, December 18, Instagram photo.
Christina bent down in the sultry black and white photos as she exposed her skin in front of the camera. The Grammy-winning artist only wore accessories as she posed topless, wearing tiny leather underwear bottoms and a matching conductor’s hat with strappy high heels.
“44 Never LOOKED SO GOOD!!! ‘Alexa play dirrty by xtina,’” influencer Jason Diaz wrote in the comments section of the post.
A second person wrote, “Oh honey [they] are not doing [it] like you!!! Fabulous! Happy Birthday Queen.”
Christina proudly flaunted her toned physique after undergoing a drastic weight loss transformation earlier this year. Fans noticed the “Beautiful” artist’s slimmer body at the 2024 Grammys in February and she shed more pounds in the months to follow.
“Christina didn’t feel as energetic with extra weight,” a source exclusively told Life & Style in March. “Some are concerned she’ll gain the weight back but she loves all the attention she’s getting.”
A second source updated Life & Style on Christina’s health and fitness journey in October, revealing that Christina was “feeling more confident than she has in ages.”
“Christina has always been body-positive, no matter her size,” the second insider shared. “But the reality is that she does feel some pressure to compete with the younger pop stars.”
Fans quickly started to wonder if Christina turned to Ozempic for her weight loss, given the medication’s popularity within Hollywood. She has yet to deny or confirm the chatter. However, the former Voice coach seemingly nudged the speculation, admitting she doesn’t “give a f–k” about unwarranted opinions.
“I’m not going to take it on. It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business,” she told Glamour in August.
“When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s,” she later explained during the interview. “I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, she’s getting thicker.’ Then I had industry people: ‘They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.’”
Christina has shared her unfiltered thoughts about her body throughout her career and previously admitted how she “hated being super skinny” as a teen and young adult.
“Once I turned 21, I started filling out a little bit, and I was loving my new curves,” the “I Turn to You” singer said during a 2021 cover story of Health. “I appreciated having a booty. I’ve always said that women are way more interesting to look at than men. I have a hard time looking at the early pictures of myself because I remember feeling so insecure.”
While Christina’s recent weight loss has positively affected her health and energy, a third source told Life & Style that her sex life with husband Matthew Rutler went downhill.
“Most people probably assume she’s got a hot sex life to go with her hot body, but it’s actually the total opposite,” the third insider revealed in October. “Apparently, she and Matt used to have a way better sex life, but these days it’s DOA because she’s just never in the mood. It’s not something that’s ever been an issue in their relationship before so of course Matt is blaming her drastic weight loss.”
