Tarek El Moussa didn’t hold back while sharing his thoughts on ex-wife Christina Haack’s (formerly known as Christina Hall) third husband, Josh Hall, amid their divorce.
Tarek, 43, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, took to Instagram on Tuesday, December 17, to share a video in which they addressed if they would make a second season of their upcoming HGTV show, The Flip Off. In the show, Tarek and Heather, 37, compete against Christina, 41, as they flip houses.
Christina quickly revealed she would be interested in participating under one condition. “Only if @theheatherraeelmoussa is my partner next time. Tarek you can have Josh,” she wrote in the comments section, acknowledging that Josh, 44, was originally supposed to be part of the show as her teammate.
Tarek took the opportunity to make a jab at Josh by writing, “Even with Josh slowing me down, I can still beat the girls.” Christina then responded, “Game on.”
Meanwhile, Heather proved she was willing to compete alongside Christina by writing, “@thechristinahall seriously, how can we make this happen??”
Not only did Tarek and Heather discuss a potential second season in the clip, but they also revealed how working on the show helped them grow closer to Christina. “I feel like it was fun. It brought us all together in a different way,” Heather said in the video. “They haven’t filmed together in years, and her and I have never filmed together or worked together.”
After Christina and Tarek split in 2016, he moved on with Heather and they tied the knot in 2021. Meanwhile, Christina married Josh in 2022 following her divorce from her second husband, Ant Anstead, in 2021.
Josh filed for divorce from Christina in July, and she followed suit by filing her own paperwork one day later. The former couple has had a messy divorce, and they made headlines over their disagreements regarding the sale of her Tennessee home and money.
In light of their issues, Christina tearfully revealed that her and Tarek’s kids – Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9, urged her to leave Josh in a teaser clip for The Flip Off shared by People.
“The kids literally asked me to leave,” she told Tarek in the clip ahead of the show’s January 2025 premiere. “They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?”
She then confirmed that they had “officially split up” and they “had a blow up” that included “middle fingers in my face.”
“Things with Josh have been bad for a long time … I just feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I can’t get out of it,” Christina continued.
Now that she’s single, Christina has been able to lean on Tarek and Heather as she navigates the divorce. “We’re here for anything she needs, honestly,” Tarek told Access Hollywood about Christina earlier this month. “I know there’s a lot of stuff going on in the world between the coparenting, but at the end of the day, we’re actually friends. We take care of each other, we’re really supportive.”
