Jana Kramer put her love life on full display over the years. So, it was natural for the One Tree Hill alum to tease her relationship with husband Allan Russell in January 2023. The pair have since built a family together and Life & Style gathered all the details about Allan before and after he embarked on his romance with Jana.
Allan Russell’s Job
The Scotland native is an all-around sports guy who had a successful soccer career in England and the United States. Allan joined Hamilton Academical in 1999 and later played for English and Scottish teams, including Mansfield Town.
Allan made his transition to the U.S. in 2010 when he signed with the Carolina RailHawks before joining the Los Angeles Blues.
The athlete launched Superior Striker, where he coaches soccer strikers, in 2014.
Allan Russell Has a Son From a Previous Relationship
The businessman and an unidentified ex welcomed his son, Troy, in 2007.
“Happy 16th my little man @troy0_7 to watch you grow has been incredible and look forward to the next chapter of your journey. Love you and always proud of you. Dad xxx,” Allan wrote via Instagram on August 23, 2023.

Without revealing his identity, Jana teased the beginning stage of her relationship with Allan during a January 2023 episode of her “Whine Down” podcast. The couple went Instagram official two months later on Valentine’s Day and let their whirlwind relationship thrive.
Allan proposed to Jana in May 2023, and in September, Jana gave Life & Style an exclusive look into their relationship.
“To see him with my kids is just the greatest joy. I mean, it makes me emotional because he’s just such an incredible bonus dad to them,” the “I Got the Boy” singer said at the time. “How he interacts with them, how he is so intentional with his time with them is just so beautiful to see. And the kids love him and it’s just, it’s everything.”

The Gaslit by My Husband actress and Allan expanded their blended family when they welcomed son Roman in November 2023.
They later tied the knot in a Scottish castle in July 2024 alongside their kids and a small group of their family and friends.
Allan Russell Has Boundaries on Jana Kramer’s Sex Scenes
Jana starred in Lifetime’s A Cowboy Christmas Romance in December 2023, which was the first holiday film from the network that featured a sex scene. However, the steamy moment was an obstacle for Jana, as she was in the early stages of her pregnancy with Roman.
The following year, Jana and Allan discussed the family matriarch’s involvement in sex scenes on her podcast after watching a raunchy intimate scene in Yellowstone.
“I was just like, ‘There’s not part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever, for a man to be that close to you like that [on set],” Allan said during the December 9, 2024, episode.
He later added, “I’ll be, like, phoning the producers and threatening the producers [like], ‘You need to change that scene. For the good of your health, you need to change this scene.’”
Allan noted that his beliefs may come across as jarring to some, but he reminded listeners that he isn’t used to the entertainment business.
“That’s not good for a marriage, that type of role, it’s not, especially [for] a man who’s not in the acting world. It’s difficult. So, therefore, that’s my opinion based on [the fact that] I’m not in that world,” he later noted.
