Travis Kelce is a tried and true Swiftie! The Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed which Taylor Swift song he came around to loving and listed some of his other favorite singles off his girlfriend’s albums through the years.
“‘Death By a Thousand Cuts’ is one that I’ve learned to absolutely love,” Travis, 35, said during the bonus episode of his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast on Thursday, November 28. “I’ve watched Tay’s [2019 NPR] Tiny Desk and she played it on that one and that’s where I think I fell in love with it.”
The NFL stars had been answering fan questions on the Thanksgiving episode when one caller asked which of Taylor’s songs they could listen to forever. Travis had more than enough ammunition to respond.
“Favorite song? I mean, ‘Blank Space’ is a song that I’ll always listen to, forever,” he said. “It’s just unbelievable. Everything about it.”
He continued to offer up some “new” songs from her Tortured Poets Department album, which was released in April.
“I mean, ‘The Alchemy.’ Can’t go wrong with that one. That one’s a banger,” Travis said. “Or ‘So High School,’ I mean, who doesn’t like the feelings that gives you? And ‘Cowboy Like Me’ is another good one. Really big fan of ‘Cowboy Like Me.’”
Many Swifties have speculated that Taylor, 34, wrote “The Alchemy” and “So High School” about Travis, whom she began dating in July 2023.
Jason, 37, said that his brother had “all good picks.” As for his own top Taylor tune, the retired Philadelphia Eagles center said, “Everybody knows mine is ‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’ so I’m not even gonna go through all of her incredible hits. I think it just stops right there for me.”
Travis hasn’t been shy about his status as a Swiftie since he and Taylor went public in September 2023. He’s talked about his ever-changing list of favorite songs multiple times, including a February press conference where he revealed his then-current top track.
“Right now, I’d probably say ‘Anti-Hero’ just ’cause I hear it every single day,” he said.
In April, Travis said his favorite song was “Shake It Off,” and by May it was “Blank Space.”
The footballer has also been a frequent attendee at Taylor’s Eras tour, which will come to an end on December 8 after more than one year on the road, both in the U.S. and internationally. Travis has seen his girlfriend perform more than a dozen times — and even taken to the stage himself in July — but he still gushes about his experience after every show.
“I wanted to see Tay one more time before this thing got closed up,” Travis said on “New Heights” four days after his surprise appearance at Taylor’s concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 2. “And I’ll tell you what, man … the American crowds … they did not disappoint. I heard that it was a lot more rowdy this time around, knowing she was coming back to stop through America one last time before the tour was over with. And, man, that thing was rocking.”
