Jersey Shore star Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio Jr. teased that he and girlfriend Nikki Hall hit a rough patch in their relationship.
In a teaser clip for the Thursday, November 7, episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Pauly, 44, was seen making the admission during a video call. “I have relationship problems I don’t know how to get past,” he said.
Nikki, 32, and Pauly were then seen having a tense conversation in a restaurant. “You’re being a little dramatic,” she said, and he responded, “I don’t know if I’d be smiling if I was you.”
After Nikki and Pauly met on Double Shot at Love, they took a serious step in their relationship when they moved in together in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Nikki then started appearing on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, though she noticeably stepped away from the show in 2022 after she got into a fight with costar Angelina Pivarnick during a season 5 episode.
Nikki remained off of the show for all of season 6 in 2023, as well as the first half of season 7 earlier this year. However, she has since started making appearances again in the latest batch of episodes.
She and Angelina, 38, even put their past issues behind them after Nikki made her grand return during the September 19 episode.
“It’s a little awkward seeing Nikki,” Angelina admitted during the show’s October 10 episode. “Last time I saw her was when I turned the water into wine like Jesus Christ [and poured it on her]. But I think she’s over it. I think I’m over it. We hugged it out. She even made us shots.”
Before to the September 19 premiere, Pauly’s longtime costars Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola opened up about how Nikki brought a different “dynamic” to the show during an exclusive interview with Life & Style.
“It’s always great to see Nikki and she really fits in really well with the dynamic of the squad and I definitely think that we’re going to see a lot more of her, as well,” Mike, 42, told Life & Style at the time. “I think Nikki is always authentic to herself, as well as all of the other cast mates. And that’s what’s so great about Nikki … She gives her opinion, she’s not afraid to do it.”
Mike then added that it’s “good to see” Nikki and Pauly D’s relationship be featured on the show. “It’s good to see them together. They’re very loving,” he explained. “They have a very positive relationship and, you know, it just adds another layer to the dynamic that is Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”
Meanwhile, Sammi, 37, said that it’s “really cool” to see “Pauly in a relationship” after she took time off from the show. “I’ve never seen that before. And Nikki just compliments him really well. They make a beautiful couple and it was fun having her there,” she added.
Mike went on to describe Nikki and Pauly as “a really loving couple.” He continued, “And the sweet things that they do for each other and the way that they talk to each other, it’s nice to see.”
