Pink is speaking out about a rumor that’s been swirling online this week connecting her to Sean “Diddy” Combs after his recent arrest.

The buzz started when people noticed the pop star had cleared her X account. With the Bad Boy Records founder facing trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, some internet detectives jumped to conclusions. They thought Pink’s absence from the site meant she was trying to erase any hints of involvement in the scandal. But there’s one big problem with that theory – the “So What” singer actually deactivated her profile almost eight months ago.

“I don’t know why I became a headline this week, but I wiped my Twitter account on February 6!!!” Pink shared on Instagram Wednesday, along with a screenshot of her last tweet: “This account will self destruct in two minutes. Do it!!!!!!”

“There is no truth to the rumors spread this week, and while I’ve met people in passing, I’m not associated with any of the people mentioned,” she added.

Pink isn’t the only artist whose X habits have sparked Diddy-related rumors lately. Usher also had to speak up when similar claims spread about his recent exit from the site. He explained Sunday it was just due to a hack, tweeting: “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it!”

Combs is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., as he awaits trial. If found guilty on all charges – including physical abuse, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and more – he could face life in prison. He’s been denied bail twice so far. Judge Andrew L. Carter reasoned that the hip-hop mogul is a flight risk with the means to intimidate witnesses if he wanted to.
