    Taylor Zakhar Perez Talks ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’ Sequel, Teases Even More Movies

    Taylor Zakhar Perez is teasing all things Red, White & Royal Blue.

    The 32-year-old actor played Alex Claremont-Diaz alongside Nicholas Galitzine‘s Prince Henry in the the Prime Video movie based on author Casey McQuiston‘s novel of the same name.

    Earlier this year, it was confirmed that a sequel was in the works with both stars attached to reprise their roles.

    While attending the 2024 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 15), Taylor revealed what he knew about the sequel so far. He also hinted at plans to expand the franchise even farther!

    “I still know nothing. And for a good reason,” he said about the sequel during a conversation with ET. “Because moments like this when I just want to overshare. And because I like you so much, and I want to share.”

    Taylor added that he was “happy” not to know the specifics about the plot. While he hasn’t been informed about the creative development, he said that there had been conversations about “character arcs and character growth and where we’d like to see them go.”

    “But the nuances, leave that to Matthew [Lopez, director] and Casey,” he said.

    Speaking to Variety, Taylor added that he had “hoped” from the very beginning for the movie to get a sequel.

    “Because it was a great book, and it kind of left you hanging after you read it,” he said. “I mean, I hope that there’s like three of them. I think it could be a nice trilogy.”

    The actor even said that he’d be down for a Broadway musical about the story with one caveat: It had to be “funny.”

    “We need a very funny musical,” he said.
