Do you feel that chill in the air, ONTD? (I’m in TX so absolutely not.) It’s only a few weeks until October and that means it’s time to get your spooky playlists ready! So let’s take a special look at some of the best Halloween pop songs you’ve [probably] never heard. oooOooOO *creepy door creaks and shivers*

‘See Through You’ – Samira (1.3k views)

Hailing from London and studying at the Millennium Performing Arts College, Samira began to show off her skills on the West End stage in productions like Mamma Mia! and Dreamgirls. She began her solo music career in 2022 and has been making dark, sexy, and mysterious bops like See Through You ever since! The mv is hedonism and party culture at its (not so) finest.

‘Disco Witch’ – LEXXE (6.6k views)

A multitalented artist from Long Island, LEXXE started with her love of dance at the Seiskaya Ballet Academy and played french horn for over 11 years. After graduating, she started on her solo music career journey and has been featured in BILLBOARD, Time OUT NY, Broadway World, GLAAD, and Apple Music Radio. Her new single Disco Witch is a dark disco dance number dedicated to her mother.

‘Mad Man’ – Bianca & Clara Fable (17k views)

Bianca from Sydney AUS began singing, dancing and acting at just 3 years old. By the age of 10 she won multiple singing and dance competitions, was signed to her first management company at 12 years old, and has been working on a solo music career ever since. Her 80’s revenge track Mad Man with fellow artist Clara Fable is about killing your abuser, so hello let’s celebrate that!

    ‘N.Y.P.’ – Caveboy (21k views)

Caveboy is a Canadian indie pop band formed in 2015 consisting of queer-identified or vocal allies to the LGBTQ community. They won the Allan Slaight Juno Master Class in 2017 and the 2022 Her Music Award. Their debut album Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark features N.Y.P., a haunting track about possession, greed, and the pleasure in the pain.

‘Nasty’ – Leah Kate (29k views)

American singer Leah Kate’s passion for music was sparked by growing up with a family owned radio station. Leah bagged her first viral hit with song Fuck Up The Friendship and toured with Chase Atlantic on their Cold Nights Tour in 2022. She recently released her gritty single Nasty, a song about obsession and delusion. (Been there!)

    ‘HEAVEN’S GATES’ – Devault & Izzy Camina (64k views)

Electronic artist and music producer Sage DeVault broke out in 2017 when his official remix for DJ Snake was named by Billboard as one of the top 10 remixes of the year. He’s toured with artists like Madeon and San Holo, and has produced remixes for Rihanna and 6LACK. Devault is influenced by Depeche Mode and Daft Punk, which is made clear in his dark and ethereal dance track HEAVEN’S GATES.

‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ – Cloudy June (83k views)

German and Cuban artist Cloudy June has a passion for making music with sexuality and equality in mind. As a feminist and rising queer icon, her songs have exceeded over 40 million streams and she sold out her debut headline tour of Germany. Her new single Big Girls Don’t Cry is about getting even with those that maliciously do you wrong. Scary for men, therapeutic for women, we love that.

    ‘Galina’ – Allie X & Empress Of (92k views)

Alexandra Ashley Hughes (Allie X) is a Canadian singer and songwriter who began her career as an indie pop artist in the mid-2000s. As a child, she was diagnosed with an unnamed autoimmune disorder, which lead to her using clothes and makeup to deflect attention from her “sickly-looking” appearance. Her latest single Galina is about a Russian lady who helped Allie with her eczema… ok work!

‘Flicker’ – Donna Missal (105k views)

Bisexual singer-songwriter from New Jersey, Donna Missal grew up in a musical family. She got her big break cowriting for Tinashe in 2014 and released her debut album This Time in 2018. She was later dropped by her label in 2022 and independently released single Flicker to summarize the trauma she’s experienced with her music career.

‘ghosts!’ – Sophie Cates (143k views)

Sophie Cates, originally Silver Sphere, released her first single Drinking Games as an independent artist in 2018. She wrote and produced all of her own music on her debut EP Yikes! and is now signed to RCA (oop). Her spooky single ghosts! from her EP all my boyfriends is about being haunted by an ex long after they’ve left your life, and the mv is giving Sabrina the Teenage Scooby-Doo.

    ‘Anything’ – Griff (152k views)

Griff was born in Hertfordshire in 2001 [help]. Her father is the son of Jamaican immigrant, and her mother is a first-generation migrant whose family moved to England amid the Vietnam War. Griff taught herself to record and produce music on her brother’s laptop and watching tutorials on YouTube. Anything is about hopelessly and unhealthily doing anything for the one you love, even if it means death.

‘BURY YOU’ – Ari Abdul (200k views)

Ari Abdul was born and raised in Brooklyn NY and was influenced by both Latin music from her mother and classic rock from her father. She recorded her first song BABYDOLL in her bedroom and was convinced by a friend to put it on TikTok, where it went viral and landed her a deal with RCA (oop pt 2). Her single BURY YOU is about the ones you love driving you to insanity and making bad choices.
