Sabrina Carpenter is singing about an ex-boyfriend on her new song “Taste” and fans are definitely going to be speculating on who the song is about!

The song is the third single off of the 25-year-old singer’s brand new studio album Short ‘n Sweet, which is out now.

“Taste” is actually directed at the new girl who is dating Sabrina‘s ex. Seemingly, they were also together before Sabrina’s relationship with the guy!

“Well, I heard you’re back together and if that’s true / You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissin’ you / If you want forever, I bet you do / Just know you’ll taste me too,” she sings on the chorus.

In the song, Sabrina reveals that she took half of her ex’s wardrobe when they broke up and now his clothes are missing.

Sabrina also sings about her sense of humor on the song. “Hе’s funny, now all his jokes hit different / Guеss who he learned that from?” she sings in verse two. This isn’t the first time she’s referenced her humor and how not everyone always vibes with it.

A lot of people are going to jump to the conclusion that this song is about Sabrina‘s ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett and his other famous ex Olivia Rodrigo, but it’s been so many years that we don’t think that’s accurate!
