Walz (60) is in his second term as Governor and he also served 12 years in Congress
Walz and his wife, Gwen, married in 1994. They have two adult children.
Walz’s brother Craig died after being hit by a falling tree during a storm in 2016. He was survived by his wife and their son, who suffered severe injuries but survived. Walz is Lutheran.
