• Sophcore, out today, pivots his sound to R&B and is inspired by Janet Jackson and by Beyoncé’s Renaissance
• Like much of his work, the EP explores themes of intimacy and connection, “radical vulnerability”, and gender
• Says he is making an R&B album, to be followed by one that is folk-inspired
• Auditioned for a part on Euphoria, which he didn’t get, but the process led to Sam Levinson writing him a part on The Idol
• While working on The Idol, he got the audition for MaXXXine
