All the movies these ladies are in are musicals; Emilia Pérez is a drama, Joker 2 is a jukebox musical, and Wicked, of course, is based off of the play –> book –> other book.
- It mentions supporting even though Gaga is probably a lead, they may angle for the BSA Category.
- Grande is probably there because just like 2021’s “West Side Story” had Ariana Debose (Spectre that Haunts ONTD Commenters) win for supporting.
- Gomez is also likely a side character, and it does mention that “Perez” has done very well at Cannes, and Netflix might consider it a tentpole award contender.
It does mention other ladies, including another Oscar nom for Michelle Yeoh in “Wicked” (doubt.) and Danielle Deadwyler hopefully getting more traction that 2 seasons ago (“The Piano Lesson”).
