It’s time to slime!
The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards came back better than ever. The wackiest awards show of them all promised to pack on the star power, and of course, the slime, and definitely delivered.
Hosted by SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), the annual slime-filled awards show premiered live from the iconic duo’s undersea home of Bikini Bottom on Saturday, July 13. The show was simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, the Nick Jr. channel, TVLand, CMT and MTV2.
Taylor Swift lead the pack at the 2024 KCAs with six nominations, including Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Album and Favorite Global Music Star. Tying for the second spot were superstars Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo and Justin Timberlake, with four nominations each.
Swift’s beau, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also nabbed a nod for Favorite Male Sports Star.
The nominations list boasted 50 first-time nods, including Halle Bailey, Austin Butler, Sabrina Carpenter, Kai Cenat, Timothée Chalamet, Luke Combs, Ariana DeBose, Ayo Edebiri, Ryan Gosling, Reneé Rapp, Margot Robbie and Paul Rudd.
