Simple; Many Film pundits out there already have a preliminary Best of list for the first half of the year. You put yours in the comments.
Caveat: Some films that may have had a scattered release due to the strikes last year may be listed as 2023 but fully released in 2024. They may have premiered at festivals in 23, been pushed back to a wide release in 24. Those are allowed.
Maybe stick to top 6 so you really have to think about it.
