To kick off Pride Weekend, on Thursday, June 27, the midtown’s beloved W New York – Times Square teamed up with Gaybors to present New York City’s first-ever Serve event to celebrate Pride. Fusing the worlds of luxury hospitality and entertainment, Serve Gotham City was a truly decadent evening with performances from Ru Paul’s Drag Race contestants, including Salina EsTitties, LaLa Ri, and Mirage, as well as some of New York’s favorites, including Lexington Banks and Izzy Uncut and Painted with Raven’s first season winner Crimsyn.
In addition to iconic drag performances, W New York – Times Square collaborated with long-time partner FANG to bring W Hotels’ Global Pride Campaign, Take A Stace, to life through a custom curated gown. The gown (seen here, worn by Dahlia Sin) features 13 quotes from members of New York’s LGBTQ+ community. The quotes capture what Pride in New York at The W means for them. The gown will be on display at W New York – Times Square for a limited time before being offered for sale.
These activations and partnerships come as W New York – Times Square’s commitment to W Hotels’ passion point, STANCE. The brand and the hotel have always taken a stance and have never been afraid to spark a conversation. This Pride Month, W New York – Times Square is sparking connections and conversations and reflecting the core of W Hotels’ guests have always loved – inclusivity and taking a stance.
