Mayo returned to the stage Friday night for his first concert since being arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York on Tuesday.
“It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now,” Timberlake told a cheering crowd at the United Center in Chicago. “I know sometimes I’m hard to love but you keep on loving me and I love you right back.”

“He was freaking out and stayed up all night when he was in custody,” a source tells PEOPLE. “He’s insisting he only had one drink and it wasn’t some wild night out.”
