Barry Keoghan made a notable appearance in Sabrina Carpenter‘s latest music video for her single “Please Please Please,” released on June 6, 2024.
In the four-minute video, Keoghan, 31, portrays a troubled love interest whom the “Espresso” singer, 25, encounters in jail. Their brief romance is swiftly concluded, primarily due to the Oscar nominee’s character’s inability to escape his criminal past.
While their relationship may not endure, it is marked by intense and passionate moments. In one scene, Keoghan rests his head between Carpenter’s chest as she reclines on a vintage car. Following the decision to end their problematic relationship, Carpenter’s character ties up Keoghan, covers his mouth with duct tape, and shares a final passionate kiss.
After the video’s release, Keoghan posted several behind-the-scenes images on Instagram on June 6, 2024, captioning them, “What we sayin Darlin?!!”
Sabrina Carpenter echoed his enthusiasm by referencing the song’s lyrics, stating, “I heard that you’re an actor!”
Keoghan’s role in Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” video follows their public debut as a couple at the 2024 Met Gala. The pair first sparked romance rumors in December after being seen together at a cozy dinner. However, they have been subtly acknowledging each other for some time.
In April, Carpenter referenced Keoghan’s well-known Saltburn bathtub scene with Jacob Elordi during her “Nonsense” outro in her Coachella performance.
