Estimates.
Don’t send a Guy to do an Ape’s job.
- While The Fall Guy opened last week to short of the industry’s already low estimates, Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes looks to fall into expectations of 50$m – 56$m.
- For comparison to past years, that’s still a bit lower but it’s better than last week.
- You know, I was going to say “Audiences claim they want original movies, but not one original has opened #1”, but then I checked and Challengers, Argylle, Bob Marley, and Civil War did, so. 5 People want them.
- Overseas, Garfield only dropped 32%. It has yet to his the US. You have been warned.
Next week, you have IF (if you care), The Strangers Part 1 (Which is not the same thing as The Watchers) and Back To Black. Unless IF opens to more than 100$m, I don’t see next week as anything special to report and will be back to talk about Garfuriosa.
