Mercedes Varnado, most well known by her WWE ring name of Sasha Banks, has officially joined the AEW as the CEO Mercedes Mone, ending speculation of her next destination as a performer and debuting in her hometown of Boston!
The theme is trash… BUT MY QUEEN! I’m not part of the wrestling discourse anywhere but on ONTD, but even on ONTD I’m very vocal about how undervalued the Women’s Division of AEW is. And I don’t doubt for a moment that the fact that the main event of Big Business is a Women’s Match (a non-title Women’s Match at that!) is because Mercedes is now in the division. Don’t screw it up, Tony!
