Both ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ and ‘Madame Web’ hit theaters this Valentine’s Day, and it’s easy to say one banked a LOT more than the other.
‘Bob Marley: One Love’ ($70M budget) broke midweek V-Day records, bringing in a very-appropriate $14M on Wednesday, plus another $3.9M domestically (U.S./Canada) on Thursday before heading into the long weekend. ‘Madame Web’ hit all of its dire expectations, bringing in $6M on Wednesday, plus $2.2M yesterday, on a surprisingly small $80M budget (or maybe $120M according to other sources) for a Marvel-adjacent movie.
‘Bob Marley: One Love’s expected to make around $35M by Monday, while ‘Madame Web’s expected to bring in roundabouts $25M.
