A new trend has begun in 2024, and it’s all about a cup. Yes, you read that right – cup. Cups, specifically fluid containers, are apparently all the rage now, at least in the US. This specific brand of container in question is called “Stanley”. It’s an all-steel vacuum flask that was invented by William Stanley Jr. in 1913. This powerful flask can keep any liquid very hot or very cold for long periods of time. It’s not the only vacuum flask on the market, but it’s certainly the most in-demand flask presently, most likely made a trend by influencers on TikTok.
Once cups hit the shelves they are sold out in seconds. Fights have even broken out over this cup. Parents were giving the cup to their kids as a Christmas gift last year. There are of course people buying them to resell them online for twice (or more) the original price. It was tending all day on Twitter, so it’s going to become even more in-demand now.
