Its the final weekend of 2023 at the box office! Wonka lead the pack, grossing $23.9 million, a 33% increase from last weekend. Its domestic total now stands at $134.6 million with $379 million worldwide.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom came in 2nd, dropping 30% from last weekends debut to $19.5 million. While that might be a healthy hold, its the only film in the top 8 that debuted before Christmas Day to see a decrease from its haul last weekend. Its domestic total stands at $77.8 million, a massive decrease from the $215.4 million the first film totaled up during the 2018 holiday. Its worldwide total now stands at $251.4 million.
Migration came in 3rd with $17.2 million, a 38% increase from last weekend. Its domestic total stands at $54.3 million. The Color Purple took 4th with $13 million. Its grossed $45.3 million since its Christmas Day debut. Anyone But You rounded out the Top 5 with $9 million, a huge 50% increase from last weekend. Its own domestic total sits at $25.1 million.
The Boys in the Boat ($8.3M, $21.9M), The Iron Claw ($5M, +4%, $16.4M) and Ferrari ($4.1M, $10.9M) followed.
