– Following the successful live action that premiered this year, Netflix will adapt a new One Piece series
– Titled ‘The One Piece’, this new version is a remake of the 1999 original series and will cover the first 100 chapters of the manga (aka the East Blue Saga)
– The anime remake will be animated by Wit Studio (which is behind Spy x Family, Attack on Titans S1-3, Vinland Saga and more)
– Toei Animation (which is making the OG anime) and Fuji TV (on which the OG anime is airing) will also be part of the partnership
– One Piece OG Anime’s voice actors will also reprise their roles
– No release date yet
– One Piece’s prequel ‘Monsters’ will also premiere on Netflix in January 2024
Not One Piece actually becoming a Netflix franchise lol I’m here for a better paced, better animated seasonal One Piece though! If they make it to Dressrosa, it’ll be glorious!
