It was a Hasbro Board decision to make Cosmic Fury 10 episodes only. CF had 2 months of filming. Netflix was willing to do a 20 episode season

-As you know, PR: Cosmic Fury is now here and the final season of Power Rangers as we know it.
-Simon Bennet went to Spaces (before twitter does away with it) to talk about the final season
-Netflix wanted 20 episodes of CF but Hasbro only allowed 10.
-Hasbro refused to allow Zayto who was once the Red Ranger to become the White Ranger believing it would be problematic due to the actor being black
-Hasbro wanted little to no connection between Cosmic Fury and the MMPR special
-They were paranoid about Lord Zedds ‘Z’ insignia looking like an N if it were turned sideways
-Hasbro accused production of cultural appropriation for making Robo Rita look too Japanese
-Simon and co. ensured the writers room was diverse so they had a lesbian writer on staff to ensure Izzy/Fern were properly written, black/Asian writers to ensure characters such as Zayto, Aiyon, Ollie were properly written, etc..
-They were forced to keep the characters optimistic which lead to a very big scene with a character getting severely watered down
