Remakes amirite? A lot of times they’re obviously Hollywood’s lazy way to get an easy cash grab. Every other month or so we find out about a Princess Bride remake nobody wants. But I’m not asking if you hate remakes or a remake you hate. I’m wondering this: is there a movie you enjoyed growing up that you still wouldn’t mind Hollywood took a crack at it again? What with the better technology, castings, writing, etc of 2023 standards too.
Some of my own examples were:
– Newsies based more off the stage musical.
– Fried Green Tomatoes properly depicting the lesbian relationship between Idgie and Ruth.
