Diddy has reassigned his publishing rights back to all the artists and songwriters who helped build Bad Boy Entertainment
Ma$e, Faith Evans, The LOX, 112 and the Estate of the Notorious B.I.G. have already signed agreements to regain those rights

- Diddy had begun reaching out to artists and offering them the chance to buy back their publishing rights in 2021
- Billboard notes this can likely be traced back to 2020 when Diddy publicly condemned the Recording Academy for ignoring black artists only to have Ma$e publicly condemn Diddy for shortchanging him on his publishing rights which he had done to numerous black artists
- Rapper Cam’ron also obtained his files and is planning to put out an album of previously unpublished material September 8th
- Others who have renegotiated their rights back include Ma$e, Faith Evans, The LOX, 112 and the Estate of the Notorious B.I.G.
- This move comes on Bad Boy Entertainment’s 30th anniversary
Woah. Happy labour day indeed.
