Jimmy Buffett, the American singer-songwriter, died on Friday at age 76. No cause of death has been released, though a statement says he was surrounded by “family, friends, music, and dogs”. He is most well-known for his hit song “Margaritaville” and the business empire he spawned from it, including Margaritaville restaurants and LandShark Lager. Even though he didn’t have any other top ten hits, he had a dedicated fanbase throughout his 50 year career, releasing four platinum and eight gold studio albums, and touring annually. He also cameoed in Jurassic World as a man determined to save his margaritas.
