On Wednesday night (April 5), the 40-year-old reality star appeared on Watch What Happens Live where he was grilled by host Andy Cohen about his Vanderpump Rules‘ co-stars Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss‘ affair.

Schwartz said that since Sandoval, 40, has ADHD, he’s “became obsessed” with Raquel, 28.

“Raquel is Tom’s heroin,” Schwartz said, adding, “He’s addicted. It’s an infatuation of infatuations.”

Schwartz went on to emphasize that he didn’t intend to “minimize” or “disrespect” people battling with addictions, but said Sandoval got “lost in the sauce,” and still is.

It was revealed in early March that Sandoval and Raquel had been in a months-long affair, which resulted in the end of his nearly nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix.

Schwartz also put to rest all of the speculation about when he found out that Sandoval and Raquel were having an affair.

“I learned in late August about the affair, the one-night stand — allegedly,” Schwartz admitted, before adding that “there was a lot of grey area there” as to what was really going on between Sandoval and Raquel.

Schwartz went on to say that for a while, Sandoval and Raquel might not have been physically together, but their relationship “become an emotional affair, which is still inappropriate.”

Andy then reminded him that during the taping of the season 10 reunion, Schwartz said he didn’t learn about the affair until earlier this year.

“In January, Tom came to me … and he told me that was in love with Raquel. I was flabbergasted,” Schwartz responded.

“For the record, [at this time] I’m being fed a narrative he was breaking up with Ariana,” Schwartz continued. “I was under the impression that he was attempting, or had attempted multiple times.”

Schwartz went on to say that Sandoval had become “flagrant — he was brazen” about the “open secret” of his affair with Raquel.

Schwartz also defended himself, saying he’s “not morally bankrupt” when asked he had been “too complacent” in knowing about the affair.

“I was consumed in my own little world. And maybe I should have been more proactive about it,” Schwartz admitted. “In my defense, I did tell Tom exactly what he needed to do. He agreed, and then he didn’t do it.”

Now that the affair is out in the open, Sandoval and Raquel appear to still be seeing each other.

Also during WWHL, Schwartz was asked if he thinks Sandoval and Raquel‘s relationship is going to last.

“I’ve actually thought about this a lot,” said Schwartz. “I think it’ll be a miracle if they make it.”

“I think, oh man,” Schwartz continued before taking a deep breath. “Their relationship is, you know, I know they care so much about each other but, like, even in the short time they’ve been in love — or whatever you want to call it — it’s become toxic, and I don’t know if it’s sustainable.”

He added, “It’s already toxic as it is, and then you add in, you know, the entire nation thinking, You guys are scumbags. I think it’s too much.”

“But we’ll see if love prevails, we’ll see,” Schwartz concluded.

Sandoval was recently asked if he would go back and change anything about the entire cheating scandal.
