Shakira and Gerard Pique’s mom reportedly got into a physical altercation

“It’s all because when the relationship between Piqué and Clara Chia began, they took refuge in a house that Piqué’s parents have in Cabrils, Spain,” Spanish journalist Laura Fa claimed. While Shakira was crying on Bernabéu’s shoulder, she was actually hiding her son’s affair.

Spanish media also reported that someone close to the family witnessed a physical fight between Shakira and Pique’s mom. The witness said, as the two had a serious argument, “Bernabeu punched Shakira in the face in front of Gerard and his children.” However, this incident remained a rumor as no one from both camps has verified that it happened.

In an interview with the Spanish magazine Lectura, Piqué’s mom claims she tried everything to keep the couple together but after Piqué cheated everything went south. She also claimed that Shakira had instructed her children to stop calling her “grandmother,” and the breakup between the two had hurt her personally.
