Halsey might have a hit song titled “Bad at Love,” but that won’t stop her from giving out dating advice!
The music superstar went Hollywood on Sunday night when she attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and she had quite the dynamic and banter with special TikTok correspondent Amelia Dimoldenberg, the viral host of Chicken Shop Date.
Halsey joked that Dimodenberg has dated “so many” of her exes, with the interviewer admitting, “Maybe that’s where I’m going wrong, because we have the same type.”
“I’m going to give you some real advice: Yeah, that is where you’re going wrong,” cracked Halsey, whose famous former flames include G-Eazy and Evan Peters. “Don’t follow in my footsteps…. You should [date] an accountant.”
Dimodenberg seemed intrigued by that idea, and the possible tax-related benefits that would come with it, but Halsey then quickly realized that everything she had said was wrong. “You know what, no, you don’t even need a boyfriend, you just need a therapist,” she said. “One to date, and one to talk to.”
In addition to what she later deemed was “terrible advice,” Halsey mentioned how navigating the Vanity Fair Oscar Party is like a “circus,” which she also has very conflicted feelings on.
“I hate clowns,” she confessed, “but I love contortionists.”
