After three seasons, Run the Burbs has ended. Kim’s Convenience alumnus Andrew Phung served as the creator, executive producer, writer, and star of the show. The show centered on Andrew as a stay at home dad, his wife Camille, their two kids, their neighbors, and their extended family.
Most of the cast were POC and many of the storylines dealt with Andrew’s Vietnamese culture, Camille’s Indian culture, and their kids learning how to integrate those things into their suburban lives. The show also featured guest appearances from Kim’s Convenience costars Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and Nicole Power (as well as Canadian national treasure Ann Pornel).
After season 2 aired in Canada, the CW began airing the show in the United States during the summer of 2023 (along with Son of a Critch, another CBC sitcom), but they pulled the show from their schedule in November 2023. If you are in the United States, the first two seasons are still available on Hulu.
