Grammys 2024: Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus win big, Celine Dion, Joni Mitchell, & Tracy Chapman make us cry, plus the full winners list

During last night’s Grammy Awards, every performance was a hit, and there were no misses.

Between Tracy Chapman and Luke Combs’ tear-worthy duet of her “Fast Car,” to Billie Eilish’s gorgeous rendition of her “What Was I Made For?” while perfectly re-creating a 1965 Barbie outfit, it’s been a night.

Miley Cyrus was the first Grammy winner of the night — and took her first-ever Grammy! — beating out the likes of Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo with a win for her smash hit “Flowers” in the Best Pop Solo Performance category.

Taylor Swift made history as the first artist ever to win Album of the Year four times.

As if that wasn’t enough of a moment, it was Celine Dion who handed her the gold for Midnights (although she didn’t really seem to acknowledge that Celine was there). Could there be anything more iconic??

“I dont know man, um — you guys gotta come closer,” she said, beckoning her squad that included friends and collaborators Jack Antonoff and Lana Del Ray, who was “hiding back there,” as Taylor pointed out.

“i think she’s a legacy artist in her prime right now. I’m so lucky to be your friend,” she said.

“For me, the award is the work. All I wanna do is keep being able to do this,” she said. “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this.”
