Arnold Scwarzenegger was on the Howard Stern show recently and warned that we’re raising a “generation of wimps”. Howard asked him what his opinion on Ozempic was, saying to him it seems like it’s avoiding the issue. Arnold responded saying it’s all about hard work – there’s no shortcut and you have to put the work in. The more pain and resistance you give to a bicep, the more it grows, and the same is for your mind. The only way you can grow and strengthen your character is through resistance and failure. Anybody who tries to baby themselves isn’t going to get there. Experiencing things you don’t like makes you tougher and able to handle things better. He says this country wasn’t built by people who slept in and wimped out, it was built by people who got up at 5am and went out there and worked hard. “Don’t start creating a generation of wimps and weak people. Where we go and be concerned about ‘Oh how are you feeling today? I don’t want to hurt your feelings.’ It’s nice to be considerate but… let’s not overbaby the people. Let’s teach kids to be tough.”
