The Hallmark Channel movie A Knight to Remember aired this past weekend and introduced James Trevena to viewers of the network!
While this is James‘ first movie as a leading man for Hallmark, he also appeared in Lost in Paradise earlier this year and has a role in the upcoming A Grand Biltmore Christmas.
James stars in A Knight to Remember as Sir Griffin de Beauford. A statue of the English knight arrives in Chicago for an art exhibit. While cleaning the statue, museum conservator Emily (Julie Gonzalo) impulsively kisses the statue, bringing him to life.
You might also recognize James from his work in the BET+ series Sacrifice, the MTV series The Shannara Chronicles, and a small role on HBO’s Big Little Lies.
So, who is James‘ real-life girlfriend?
James has been in a relationship with Ivana Baquero for over a decade
James started dating Spanish actress Ivana Baquero in April 2015 after meeting on the set of The Shannara Chronicles.
Ivana got her start in the entertainment industry at the age of 11 when she was chosen to play Ofelia, the lead role in Pan’s Labyrinth. In addition to The Shannara Chronicles, Ivana has has lead roles in the Netflix series High Seas and the Starz series Spartacus: House of Ashur.
James and Ivana got engaged in August 2020.
“The love of my life. We will officially be going by our celebrity couple name ‘Ivana’ as she is the only celebrity. Thank you,” James tweeted back then.
In April 2025, James marked ten years together.
“10 years!! It was so easy for me to fall in love with you and everything you are. But to have you love me back, that was the true gift. You were, are and will always be my everything. From our first kiss to our last it’ll always be you. Te Amo. Happy Decade Together! Xx,” he captioned the below post.
James and Ivana walked the red carpet together on October 1, 2026 at the 20th anniversary screening of Pan’s Labyrinth in Los Angeles, as seen above.
