Sophia Bush and Ashlyn Harris have tied the knot.

Ashlyn Harris and Sophia Bush are married

The 44-year-old actress has confirmed in her new memoir, titled And I Will Tell You Mine: Notes from a Life in Progress, that she quietly married Ashlyn in New York City in 2025.

Speaking about her decision to keep the story quiet, Sophia told Vogue: “When you get to this stage in your life, you begin to unpack what’s yours and what’s always sort of been for everyone else.”

The actress and the former soccer star have spent most of their adult lives in the spotlight.

But Sophia acknowledges that fame and success comes with “certain costs”.

She said: “It’s such a privilege to be able to perform as an athlete or an actor, but it also comes with certain costs.”

Despite this, Sophia and Ashlyn wanted to enjoy their big day with their family.

The Hollywood star explained: “The kids were just running and happy, and we picked flowers from the property and our daughter Sloane was holding them.

“It was so fun for them, because it wasn’t this pressure-filled day that’s too much for young kids.”

Sophia revealed in 2024 that she identifies as queer.

The actress wrote a heartfelt essay for Glamour in which she confirmed that she was in a relationship with Ashlyn.

Sophia – who was previously married to actor Chad Michael Murray and businessman Grant Hughes – wrote: “I sort of hate the notion of having to come out in 2024. But I’m deeply aware that we are having this conversation in a year when we’re seeing the most aggressive attacks on the LGBTQIA community in modern history.

“There were more than 500 anti-LGBTQIA bills proposed in state legislatures in 2023, so for that reason I want to give the act of coming out the respect and honour it deserves.

“I’ve experienced so much safety, respect, and love in the queer community, as an ally all of my life, that, as I came into myself, I already felt it was my home. I think I’ve always known that my sexuality exists on a spectrum.

“Right now I think the word that best defines it is queer. I can’t say it without smiling, actually. And that feels pretty great.”
