Naomi Watts and her daughter Kai Schreiber pose for a photo together while hitting the red carpet at the 2026 Daily Front Row Media Awards held at Rainbow Room on Friday (September 11) in New York City.
The 57-year-old actress supported her 17-year-old daughter as she won the Breakthrough Model of the Year Award at the ceremony!
Kai Schreiber becomes first Trans girl to win Breakthrough Model of the Year award
Kai‘s big win at the awards ceremony was also a historic moment as she’s the first Trans girl to win the category!
“[It] is surreal and wouldn’t be possible if not for all my sisters who paved the way for me in this industry, and I carry them with me into every room,” she said on stage while accepting the award.
She also said that she’s been “so graciously welcomed into this beautiful world of fashion,” via Daily Mail, adding that she is “so beyond excited that I get to learn more about it every day and call it my job.”
“I’m also the first transgender girl to win this award,” Kai said.
She also thanked her famous parents, Naomi and Liev Schreiber, “for their unconditional support and devotion to making me happy and making my dreams come true. I’m so lucky to be supported by you,”
Kai was presented the award by V Magazine editor-in-chief, Stephen Gan.
“Thank you to [Stephen Gan] @vmagazine for your beautiful awards,” Naomi wrote on her Instagram story, along with a selfie of herself with Kai and Stephen.
Liev reposted the photo on his own account, showing his support for his daughter’s big win.
Kai celebrated her win on Instagram as well, captioning a post, “2026 breakthrough model of the year! thank you <3”
