Peter Cullen‘s cause of death has been made public.
The Transformers voice actor sadly passed away following cardiac arrest, according to his death certificate.
What Was the Cause of Peter Cullen’s Death?
The death certificate, obtained by TMZ, says that he died on August 26 at his home in the Toluca Lake neighborhood in Los Angeles.
The cause is listed as cardiac arrest due to respiratory arrest, with malignant neoplasm of the lower lobe of the lungs named as the underlying cause. (The term refers to a cancerous tumor in the lower portion of the lungs.)
He is scheduled to be buried at Forest Lawn on September 9, according to the outlet.
Peter provided the voice of Optimus Prime for Transformers for decades.
What Did Peter Cullen’s Family Say About His Death?
His family previously said in a statement: “Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family – and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember ‘be strong enough to be gentle.’”
