US Big Brother aired its 1000th episode tonight (unless you got football), becoming the first primetime entertainment show (so don’t bring up soaps/daytime tv/sports/news) in the US to reach such a milestone. This milestone is thanks to airing multiple times a week with its first season airing five nights a week and subsequent seasons airing thrice a week. The show has remained on CBS since premiering July 2000.

US Big Brother is currently airing its 28th season with a live elimination episode tonight and many alumni in attendance. They also introduced a new twist for the season where the houseguests will travel backwards to the year 1000 where there will be NO HOH, NO nominations, NO VETO, and NO Blockbuster. The live feeds will be down for the next three days because of this twist.
Tonight, with a vote of 6-2, Mallory Aurichio was evicted from the Big Brother house on Dee Valladeres’ HoH. Lala was one of the original nominees but won Veto and took herself down. Mallory was the renom, and Drew saved himself in the Blockbuster.
