Fans of the daytime ABC talk show The View might be wondering if today’s episode is new.
Unfortunately, no. The show is currently on its summer hiatus!
When will The View return with new episodes?
So, when will co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin be back with new episodes?
If you don’t know, The View crew wrapped up their 29th season on Friday, July 24, and will now be on hiatus for the next few weeks as the hosts and crew members get in a break.
ABC has not announced when the show will return from hiatus, but last year, they returned from a similar break on September 8, 2025.
They will be airing reruns for the next few weeks, and we have the lineup for the week of July 27 here.
The View schedule for this week:
Wednesday, August 19: Kara Swisher (guest co-hosting) and Nicholas Galitzine (Masters of the Universe)
Thursday, August 20: Kara Swisher (guest co-hosting) and Marlon & Shawn Wayans (Scary Movie)
Friday, August 21: Sally Field (Remarkably Bright Creatures) and Jamie Lynn Sigler (discussing her memoir And So It Is…)
Would Rosie O’Donnell ever return to The View?
While appearing on Watch What Happens Live this summer, Andy Cohen asked Rosie if she’d be interested in returning as a guest host on The View, similar to how Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned earlier this year. Elisabeth‘s guest-hosting episodes will be re-airing this week.
“I would be up to guest host, but they haven’t asked me,” Rosie responded. “So we’ll see what happens.”
