Hayden Panettiere‘s final movie was released earlier this year.
If you didn’t see the sad news, the Remember the Titans actress died on Sunday (August 16) at the age of 36.
Following a six year hiatus, Hayden returned to acting in 2023 for Scream VI and also starred in a few direct-to-video movies.
Her final acting role was in the direct-to-video thriller Sleepwalker, which was released on January 9, 2026.
Here’s the synopsis:
A grieving mother is haunted by the tragic loss of her daughter in a car accident that left her abusive husband in a coma. Plagued by haunting visions, she grapples with the blurred lines between reality and nightmare.
Written and directed by Brandon Auman, the cast also included Justin Chatwin, Beverly D’Angelo, Mischa Barton, Lori Tan Chinn, Laird Lacoste, and Corinne Sweeney.
While Sleepwalker isn’t available for streaming on any sites right now, it is available to rent or purchase on either Apple TV, Prime Video, or Fandango.
In May of 2026, Hayden released her memoir, “This is Me: A Reckoning,” where she wrote about her battles with depression and alcoholism, being taken advantage of as a teenager, her famous relationships, and movie and television roles. You can see the biggest confessions here.
